Siemens Digital Industries Software announced that Rapidus Corporation has adopted its Teamcenter® Semiconductor Lifecycle Management (SLCM) software.
By leveraging Teamcenter SLCM and a data-driven development approach, Rapidus aims to connect processes across design, development, manufacturing preparation, testing, and quality management. This integration is intended to enhance quality, improve business productivity, and support Rapidus in becoming the fastest startup in advanced logic device prototyping and mass production, ensuring a stable supply to the global market.
Teamcenter SLCM’s standard semiconductor-specific data models help unify operations and data, enabling all stakeholders to access essential information and visualize task progress and schedules across departments.
Teamcenter Semiconductor Lifecycle Management (SLCM) can be used out-of-the-box with minimal customization, enabling faster implementation and immediate use. This also supports the gradual integration of evolving AI technologies while minimizing version upgrade costs and allowing prompt adoption of new features.
For quality management, standard out-of-the-box capabilities allow central management of Process Design Kits (PDK), Bill of Process (BOP), and quality control within the PLM environment. With data linked across all processes, Teamcenter SLCM enhances operational productivity, maximizes quality improvement, improves yield, and enables knowledge accumulation and reuse.
“Rapidus is a symbol of the revitalization of Japan’s semiconductor industry as well as Japan’s pursuit of a game-changing technology and ecosystem for semiconductor. We feel honored to work with and support Rapidus to achieve their goals to mass produce leading-edge 2nm chips by enabling data-driven development approach,” said Kunihiko Horita, country manager and vice president for Japan, Siemens Digital Industries Software.
