Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced that Nidec Corporation, a leading Japanese manufacturer of electric motors, has adopted Teamcenter® X from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to drive innovation in motor development and meet evolving industry standards, including those in the automotive sector.
Nidec will utilize both Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Quality Management System (QMS) capabilities within Teamcenter to enhance traceability, streamline configuration management, and improve connectivity across development and production. Siemens’ quality management tools will also support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and control plans—strengthening integration between Nidec’s Opcenter™ MES processes and its ERP system to meet diverse QMS certification requirements.
