Bengaluru-based fabless semiconductor company Vervesemi Microelectronics has announced its roadmap for a new portfolio of advanced integrated circuits (ICs) designed to strengthen India’s self-reliance in chip design and manufacturing.
The company aims to begin volume production by late 2026 or early 2027, with key products including:
-
BLDC controller ASIC for small motor applications such as fans and appliances, developed under MeitY’s Chips to Startup (C2S) programme.
-
Precision motor-control ASIC for electric vehicles, drones, and industrial automation, supported by the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme.
Additional ICs in development target aerospace data acquisition, next-gen weighing systems, bridge sensors, and smart energy metering, with engineering samples expected by end-2025.
“Our chips integrate embedded machine learning, enabling self-healing, predictive diagnostics, and higher fabrication yields. These innovations are a turning point for India’s semiconductor ecosystem,” said Rakesh Malik, Founder and CEO, Vervesemi Microelectronics. “By delivering high-performance, Made-in-India ICs, we are driving import substitution while showcasing India’s capability to lead globally.”
Vervesemi holds over 110 IPs, 25 IC SKUs, 10 patents, and five trade secrets, and already exports semiconductor IPs worldwide. Its ML-powered analog chain IPs are embedded in products of leading international manufacturers.
The announcement aligns with the government’s broader semiconductor mission. MeitY has approved 23 semiconductor design projects under the DLI scheme and granted 72 companies access to industry-standard EDA tools to accelerate domestic chip design.
“India envisions a future where every device in the world has a designed-in-India chip,” said Sunita Verma, Group Coordinator (R&D), MeitY, reinforcing the vision of making India a global hub for semiconductor innovation.
