Emerson, a global leader in advanced industrial automation technologies, has announced a strategic collaboration with Kaynes Semicon, a subsidiary of Kaynes Technology, to deploy Emerson’s NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) as the standardized test platform across Kaynes’ expanding semiconductor testing facilities.

The strategic partnership will streamline test infrastructure for a wide range of devices including analog, mixed-signal, RF, power, and MEMS. By leveraging NI STS as the preferred testing solution, Kaynes Semicon will enhance production efficiency, scale faster, and reduce time-to-market, aligning with its strategic vision of becoming a trusted Test-as-a-Service (TaaS) partner for the global semiconductor industry.

Commenting on the partnership, Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon, said, “We are pleased to partner with Emerson to advance our semiconductor testing capabilities. As we scale our operations and extend our global footprint, Emerson’s NI STS platform will provide the modularity, speed, and reliability we need to deliver consistent, high-quality test outcomes for our customers.”

The NI Semiconductor Test System (STS) is a PXI-based modular platform that offers a compact form factor, reconfigurable architecture, and seamless software integration through LabVIEW and TestStand. This flexibility enables reuse of instruments, supports multi-site testing, and allows manufacturers like Kaynes to reduce equipment redundancy, streamline workflows, and adapt quickly to fast-changing test requirements.

According to Shitendra Bhattacharya, Country Head, Emerson Test & Measurement India, “Our collaboration with Kaynes reflects the growing demand for scalable and efficient semiconductor testing in India. The NI STS platform is uniquely suited to support Kaynes’ growth ambitions, offering high-throughput, compact, cost-efficient and adaptable testing capabilities that meet evolving market requirements.”

This collaboration will be further strengthened by Emerson’s strong ecosystem and presence in India, including dedicated field engineers, training support, and application expertise. This ensures not only smooth deployment of NI STS across Kaynes’ facilities but also long-term sustainability and efficiency of test operations.

As India rapidly grows its semiconductor ecosystem, the need for high-speed and reliable testing infrastructure has become a critical enabler. Emerson’s NI test platforms, already supporting OSATs and fabs globally, are well-positioned to serve India’s emerging semiconductor industry. Offering up to 10x faster test speeds, these solutions significantly reduce capital expenditure while ensuring scalable, production-ready testing for advanced chip designs.

With India’s semiconductor manufacturing ambitions accelerating, this partnership between Emerson and Kaynes represents a significant step forward in strengthening testing capabilities — ensuring quality, speed, and efficiency for one of the most critical stages of semiconductor production.
