Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd. has partnered with Exponent Energy to introduce 15-minute rapid charging technology for electric three-wheelers in India. The collaboration aims to accelerate adoption in the L3 and L5 categories, covering popular e-rickshaws, passenger vehicles, and cargo loaders used widely in last-mile mobility.

The partnership integrates Exponent’s fast-charging platform into multiple Kinetic Green models. In the L3 range, this includes the Safar Smart, Safar Shakti, and Super DX, while the L5 portfolio features the Safar Jumbo loader and an upcoming passenger variant. With this integration, these vehicles can be fully charged in just 15 minutes using Exponent’s charging stations.

The companies said the ultra-fast charging capability enables drivers to top up during short breaks, boosting daily productivity by up to 30%. The technology also offers a 3,000-cycle battery warranty and a digital platform that provides real-time charging visibility, maintenance alerts, and detailed fleet analytics.

Exponent Energy currently operates over 160 charging stations across four cities and plans to expand into major metros as well as tier II and III markets within the next year. The charging network will be accessible to Kinetic Green’s fleet through an integrated dashboard within the company’s fleet management app.

Dr. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, said the partnership helps solve key uptime and efficiency challenges for three-wheeler owners and operators. Arun Vinayak, CEO and Co-Founder of Exponent Energy, added that the collaboration brings Exponent’s rapid-charging platform to both L3 and L5 EV segments in India.

Kinetic Green manufactures electric two- and three-wheelers at its Pune facility and recently raised $25 million in Series A funding from Greater Pacific Capital. Exponent Energy, founded in 2020 in Bengaluru, builds rapid-charging technology for commercial EVs using standard lithium-ion cells.
