Maruti Suzuki India Limited has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The agreement aims to encourage and support startups in developing technology-driven solutions for automobile manufacturing and mobility.
Startups recognized by DPIIT under the ‘Startup India’ initiative will have the opportunity to participate in Maruti Suzuki’s innovation programs. Once selected, these startups will gain access to expert mentorship, industry insights, and Maruti Suzuki’s extensive network and infrastructure—providing a valuable testing ground for validating their solutions.
In addition, startups will be connected to incubators, accelerators, and investors, offering them a platform to showcase their innovations and accelerate growth.
The MoU was exchanged between DPIIT and Maruti Suzuki in the presence of Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT; Ms. Anjali Bansal, Independent Director, Maruti Suzuki; Mr. Sunil Kakkar, Director, Corporate Planning, Maruti Suzuki; Mr. Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki and Dr. Tapan Sahoo, Executive Officer, Digital Enterprise, Maruti Suzuki.
Mr. Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Officer, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India Limited said, “India is home to a vibrant and growing startup ecosystem. Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Md.
