Montra Electric, the electric mobility arm of the Murugappa Group, has strengthened its presence in North India with the launch of a new dealership in Gurugram. The facility, operated by SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., marks the company’s entry into the Delhi-NCR region and will function as a comprehensive 3S center—providing sales, service, spare parts, and charging infrastructure.

Strategically located on NH-8 in Kherki Daula, the dealership aims to cater to the rising demand for green mobility solutions in one of India’s leading logistics and industrial corridors. The center will showcase Montra Electric’s flagship vehicle, the EViator, a 3.5-ton electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) designed for durability, performance, and heavy-duty cargo transport.

The expansion aligns with Montra Electric’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles across the country.

The showroom was inaugurated by Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (the SCV arm of Montra Electric), and Rajesh Gulia, Director of SOL Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., in the presence of customers, business partners, and industry stakeholders.

Saju Nair stated that the Delhi-NCR region is a strategic priority in Montra Electric’s national rollout plan. “This dealership strengthens our ability to deliver high-performance electric vehicles tailored for urban logistics and freight operations,” he said. “Our collaboration with SOL Automotive supports our goal of advancing clean and efficient mobility solutions across the region.”

Rajesh Gulia emphasized that the partnership aligns with increasing market demand for eco-friendly transport options. “We are pleased to bring the EViator to Gurugram’s commercial fleet operators. This facility is equipped to provide a seamless ownership experience, from purchase to after-sales support,” he added.

The EViator is equipped with an 80 kW motor delivering 300 Nm of torque, offering a certified range of 245 km and a real-world range of around 170 km under standard load conditions. Designed for efficiency and reliability, the vehicle features integrated telematics for fleet tracking and claims an impressive uptime of over 95%. It also comes with an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 2,50,000 kilometers, whichever comes earlier.

Montra Electric, officially known as TI Clean Mobility Private Limited, is part of the 125-year-old Murugappa Group—a diversified conglomerate with interests spanning engineering, agriculture, financial services, and industrial manufacturing. The company’s electric mobility portfolio includes electric trucks, three-wheelers for both passenger and cargo applications, and India’s first electric tractor, the E-27.

The new Gurugram dealership marks a key step in Montra Electric’s nationwide expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its dealer and service network across urban and semi-urban markets. The company is particularly focused on meeting the growing demand for electric solutions in last-mile delivery and intra-city logistics.
