Ola Electric showcased itsIndia Inside’ vision at the annual Sankalp 2025 event, focusing on products designed, engineered, and manufactured in India with domestic technology and supply chains. The initiative aims to strengthen supply chain sovereignty and deliver solutions for both Indian and global markets.

The company announced the integration of its 4680 Bharat Cell—touted as India’s first indigenously developed lithium-ion cell—into upcoming vehicles. These include the S1 Pro+ with a 5.2 kWh pack, the Roadster X+ with a 9.1 kWh pack, and the S1 Pro Sport, which will be offered with 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh options.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CMD of Ola Electric, said, “This year’s Sankalp and our vision of India Inside is accelerating this mission by commercialising 4680 Bharat Cell and rare earth free motors later this year. It shows that innovation can be imagined, engineered, and manufactured entirely in India”.

Ola also unveiled a ferrite motor free of rare-earth magnets, scheduled for phased deployment from Q3 FY26. In addition, the company presented its modular Gen 4 platform, designed to underpin future two-, three-, and four-wheelers, supporting multiple battery formats and motor types.

A prototype of the Diamondhead motorcycle was revealed, featuring hub-centred steering, custom silicon, and lightweight materials. Ola plans to launch the model by CY27 at a price below ₹5,00,000.
