Tesla has inaugurated its first Experience Centre in Delhi, alongside the city’s debut Tesla Charging Station, just 27 days after officially entering the Indian market. The facility is located at Worldmark 3 in Aerocity, with the charging station conveniently situated on the lower ground floor.
The launch follows Tesla’s debut Indian outlet in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex and brings the company’s second charging station in the country, underscoring its plan to expand charging infrastructure for a seamless ownership experience.
The Aerocity station features four V4 Supercharging stalls (DC) and three destination charging stalls (AC), giving drivers the flexibility to choose based on their charging needs. Globally, Tesla operates more than 70,000 Superchargers, with its 2024 Impact Report noting a 99.95% network uptime. At peak efficiency, a Model Y can gain up to 267 km of range in just 15 minutes.
As part of a limited-time offer, customers purchasing a new Tesla this quarter will receive a complimentary wall connector for at-home or workplace charging. This, the company says, ensures drivers can start each day with a full charge, cutting costs and eliminating trips to fuel stations.
Visitors to the New Delhi Experience Centre can also test drive the redesigned Model Y — the world’s best-selling electric vehicle in both 2023 and 2024. Orders are now open on Tesla’s website, with the first deliveries in India expected in September 2025.
Tesla also revealed plans to roll out authorised Tesla Collision Centres and Service Centres across multiple cities, supported by a mobile service fleet capable of performing most repairs at customers’ locations. The company emphasises that Tesla vehicles require less maintenance due to fewer moving parts, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air software updates.
In India, the redesigned Model Y will be offered in two trims. The Rear-Wheel Drive variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, delivers up to 500 km of range (WLTP), reaches a top speed of 201 km/h, and starts at ₹59.89 lakh.
The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive version, offering over 2,130 litres of cargo space and seating for up to five, boasts a 622 km range (WLTP) and reaches 201 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, with prices starting at ₹67.89 lakh.
