Toyo Engineering Corporation (Toyo Japan) and MODEC, Inc. (MODEC) have inaugurated their new Global Capability Centre (GCC), TOYO MODEC OFS India Private Ltd (OFS India), in Bengaluru. The joint venture aims to strengthen global project support and expand engineering capabilities from India.

Currently staffed with nearly 200 professionals, OFS India plans to scale up its workforce to 750 over the next three years, with a focus on recruiting engineers across mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. Procurement services are also expected to be added as part of the centre’s evolving capabilities.

OFS India was established in 2022 through a collaboration between Toyo Engineering India Private Ltd (a subsidiary of Toyo Japan) and Offshore Frontier Solutions Pte. Ltd. (a MODEC Group company).

At the inauguration, Takashi Kawahara, Managing Director of Toyo India and Chairman of OFS India, emphasized the strategic importance of the centre. “This facility will play a crucial role in supporting global projects, enhancing our engineering capabilities, and driving digital transformation. It marks our long-term commitment to India, generating hundreds of quality jobs and reinforcing the country’s position as a global centre for engineering and innovation,” he said.

Mr. Kawahara also highlighted the company’s focus on attracting both experienced and emerging engineering talent to meet increasing global demand.
